About Our Seva Karya

Ramakrishna Math, Simultala is a religious, educational, and service-oriented institution inspired by the ideals of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. The primary objective of the Math is to serve God through service to humanity and to promote moral values, education, and human dignity among all sections of society.

Located in the Simultala region, the Math has been actively engaged for many years in religious activities along with educational, healthcare, and social welfare initiatives. Ramakrishna Math, Simultala undertakes a wide range of service-oriented and developmental activities, carried out through the dedicated efforts of monks and volunteers.

The Math believes that religion is expressed through love, compassion, and seva — not narrow ritual alone. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda, we dedicate ourselves to man-making education, health, rural upliftment, and compassionate care for all beings. Every programme listed below is an expression of Shiva Jnane Jiva Seva.

Goshala Construction & Cow Protection

The Goshala project of Ramakrishna Math, Simultala is a significant social service initiative dedicated to cow protection and welfare. In Indian culture the cow is revered as a symbol of motherhood and selfless giving; with that spirit, this goshala provides a sacred space of care.

What We Do

  • Shelter, nutritious food, and medical care for abandoned, sick, and helpless cows
  • Regular veterinary check-ups, treatment, and humane maintenance
  • Protection of cows that would otherwise be neglected or abandoned
  • Promotion of moral values and compassion in rural society
  • Ongoing goshala construction to expand capacity for more animals

Through goshala seva, cow protection is ensured and rural communities witness an ideal of selfless care — aligning spiritual values with practical humanitarian work.

Residential School (Abashik Vidyalaya)

The Residential School (Abashik Vidyalaya) aims to provide quality education to poor and underprivileged children. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda's ideal of man-making education, the school goes far beyond textbooks.

What We Do

  • Free or supported education for economically weaker students
  • Boarding, food, clothing, and study materials provided by the Math
